1 Samuel 16:6 When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely the LORD’s anointed stands here before the LORD.” But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, “The LORD has not chosen these.” So he asked Jesse, “Are these all the sons you have?” “There is still the youngest,” Jesse answered. “He is tending the sheep.” Samuel said, “Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.” So he sent for him and had him brought in….Then the LORD said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.”

I saw the body of Christ as David of old, and I saw that Goliath had over played his hand. The enemy underestimated the power of the worshipping church as he did David in that day.

When all the sons of Jesse were brought forward for Samuel to examine, David was assumed to be the weaker one, the young one, so unfit for battle that he wasn’t even called in from the pasture. His life had been the flock, tending the sheep, singing before the Lord, dancing across pastures when no one was looking, strumming the harp with new songs to His King. The enemy didn’t know it was the heart of worship that qualified him as the lead warrior.

The enemy was using the Philistines to harm the people of God. Israel was intimidated and in retreat until the worshipper was called.

This is the body of Christ in this hour. We’ve been pushed back, pushed down, silenced and controlled. We’ve been cussed out, accused and maligned. All the while a global agenda of evil has been gaining traction, an agenda to take the world into deep darkness. Jezebel and Ahab are set to take their place on the global stage, but David. At the right hour someone called for the worshipper.

Oh beloved, don’t be distressed over Goliath. If not for Goliath the warrior would not have emerged. Goliath brought the warrior out in David. Don’t look at the worshipping church and say she’s not enough for this battle. Man looks on the outside, but God looks at the heart.

This giant will be fodder for the worshipping Church. This giant is bringing out the warrior in the David’s of this day. Don’t hesitate in the day of battle. You are stronger than you think.

You can worship and you can war. Don’t look to the weapons of Saul. Use what Holy Spirit gave you during your moments with Jesus. Look to the brook, find the stone and hurl it at the enemy. Aim for the head and bring this giant down. This day you will give his head to the birds of the air.
