Aggressive Christianity brings breakthroughs!
Matthew 12:28-30 – “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can anyone enter the strong man’s house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.”
When I say aggressive Christianity, I don’t mean with people: I mean in the spirit realm. Father wants the deputies of His Son to wield the authority He has given us, as we represent Him and His dominion over all the power of the enemy. Much progress will come to the ministry of Jesus in the earth as His partners use His authority to dispossess the enemies of our promise land.
It’s important to identify what is holding back the goodness of God, hindering progress, opposing the righteous, hindering God’s will, stopping salvations, resisting righteousness, etc. There are evil spirits engaged against all mankind to kill, steal and destroy. These powers can be identified. They can be named by the fruit they produce. They often correlate with the works of the flesh out of Galatians 5. They are often opposites of the fruit of the Spirit out of the same passage. They are often wisdom from beneath out of James 3. They can be named by examination. Anarchy, rebellion, hatred, bigotry, distrust, folly, deceit, and beguilement are a few of them. Just watch what’s happening in culture and start a list.
Second, we must enter the strongman’s house (arena, sphere and place). Prayer gives you the proximity required to win a victory. In prayer you can enter the spirit realm where these spirits operate. Naming a spirit in confrontation immediately puts you in a place of authority over it. Rebuke, judge, decree and methods of authority through a prayer posture will bring spiritual victory.
Third, we must “bind” spiritual powers. That is, we name them or name what they are causing and command them to cease. To bind means to stop, arrest, confront with directive to cease. This is simply done best from a prayer posture. In other words, “Ministry of rebellion, the Lord rebuke you. In the name of Jesus, I command you to leave our universities alone. I command you to release the educational centers of America. Get off of our educational campuses. Leave our students alone. Release our professors and our educators.” And so on.
Fourth, we declare those in agreement with the demonic plans of destruction for our nation, our people and the Lord’s world are judged and removed from influence and their places of authority, and that they are humbled and turned to Christ.
Fifth, we plunder (or reverse) what’s been stolen and held back. We take back what Satan has claimed and bring destruction to his “house.” In the case of souls, our plunder is the people who’ve been held by demonic power. In the case of institutions and the spheres of culture, we demand their return to Jesus, the rightful ruler of the earth.
In other words, we demand that education and our schools be given back to Jesus. Demand that our government be given back to Jesus. Demand that entertainment and recreation be given back to Jesus. Demand that business, commerce and economic methods be given back to Jesus. Demand that the family, marriage, sexuality and reproduction be given back to Jesus.
Sixth, we exalt Jesus, the rightful ruler of the earth. We bless Him. We shout of His goodness. We extol His rule and the goodness that comes from His righteousness. We thank Father for exalting Jesus to the highest place.
Our prayers can change this world when we war in prayer for the kingdom of God! Let’s get to it!
